Destination – Staycation in Cocoa Beach
I must admit, those of us who live in Brevard County, commonly known as Florida’s Space Coast, can be quiet spoiled when it comes to our climate, natural surroundings and availability to great shopping, beaches, restaurants and adventures in the great outdoors.
Even though my wife and I grew up in this tropical paradise we call Brevard County, we still get the itch to explore outside of the boundaries of our state and even our country sometimes to explore, experience and share with people of different cultures. Diversity is a great thing and sharing and experiencing the different cultures and customs of our neighbors around the world will always be a part of our lives.
However, what we have right here in our community on the Central Florida East Coast is something so special, that sometimes going on vacation just seems like more work that it should be. Keeping up with passports, currency exchange rates, customs in and out of the country, souvenirs for family members, making sure we have the proper attire for the different events and dinners. Oy vey, it almost makes me tired just thinking about it. Many times, Natalie and I have opted to go on vacation no where other than right here in our own back yard. Staycation in Cocoa Beach.
One of our most favorite vacation destinations is to staycation in Cocoa Beach. It has everything to offer for the perfect long weekend “get away”. For Natalie and me, we are able to keep our two little furry friends with is, Kona and Bandit. The kids are easily toted along. Sometimes, the kids are excluded and it is just the two of us for a romantic weekend get away. We have some of the most outstanding hotels, bed and breakfasts, and Inns of anywhere in the United States. Our favorite place to staycation in Cocoa Beach is the quaint, off the beaten path, locally owned boutique inn Sea Esta Villas.
Sea Esta Villas is located at 686 S Atlantic Ave, Cocoa Beach, Florida, just a few blocks from downtown Cocoa Beach. This hidden gem has all of the luxuries of a 5 star hotel yet, the comfort, friendliness and familiarity of home with the charm and atmosphere of Key West. The owners, two of my favorite people, Patricia and Richard Rehm, are more like your Aunt and Uncle instead of the owners. Don’t be surprised if Patricia and Richard bring out some chips and dip and a couple of cold beverages in the evening as the guests lounge around the pool or beautiful lush tropical courtyard. Sometimes, they even invite guests to eat with them at the outdoor family style table.
Your home away from home accommodations are top notch! The newly renovated, cozy and comfortable villa (one of eight) has all of the comforts and amenities of home. The 2 bedroom/1 bath units have individual air conditioning controls and is furnished with a tasteful seaside decor and fully equipped kitchen with dining. Each villa has it’s own private balcony (2nd floor villas) and private lanai (ground floor), a 50″ flat panel television with cable and a 42″ flat panel television in the bedroom. Always fresh and clean high quality lines and complimentary towels, beach chairs and coolers if you want to walk across the street to the beach.
Kick your shoes off and relax in your villa, by the pool, in the tropical garden or 65yds to the beach. This is the place to vacation or staycation in Cocoa Beach.
See ya at the Sea Esta Villas!
